Ultimate Warriors

After six and a half wonderful years, it is with great sadness that we announce Ultimate Warriors has entered administration and has closed its doors.

As a small family-owned business, we have always aimed to create a venue where families and friends could spend quality time together, make lasting memories, have fun, and stay active. Since opening in October 2019, we have welcomed more than 400,000 guests of all ages, and we are incredibly grateful to every single one of you for your support. It has truly been a pleasure to host you.

Most importantly, we want to acknowledge our amazing staffing team, whose hard work, passion, and genuine enjoyment for hosting our guests made the past six and a half years possible. We are immensely proud of the venue we built and the connections we made within the Gloucestershire community and beyond.

Echoing the sentiments of many other small businesses like ours, we want to be honest about why leisure and hospitality venues are disappearing across the UK. Over the years, we have navigated a pandemic, an energy crisis, rising living costs, and increasing operational expenses. We also made the decision to move away from franchise involvement so we could invest those costs directly into renewing our equipment and improving our offering.

However, the reality of running a small independent business has become increasingly difficult. Taxes, energy bills, wages, insurance, business rates, and supplier prices have all risen significantly, while businesses like ours are often unable to pass these increases on to customers who are already experiencing their own financial pressures.

We explored every possible option to keep our much-loved venue open. Unfortunately, despite strong interest, we are devastated to have a sale fall through at the last minute. As a small business, we simply do not have the financial reserves to continue operating in such uncertain economic conditions, even with the incredible support and feedback we have received from our guests over the years.

Our priority now is to support everyone affected, and we will work closely with the appointed administrators to provide updates where possible.

To everyone who visited us, celebrated with us, worked with us, or supported us along the way – thank you. Your support, loyalty, and memories will stay with us forever.

Neil Vinnicombe and Paul Wood of BTG Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators of ESG Leisure Limited (“the Company”) trading as Ultimate Warriors on 19 May 2026. The affairs, business and property of the Company are now being managed by the Joint Administrators. If you are a creditor of the Company (including any customers who have paid deposits) please contact the appointed Administrators by emailing Bath@btguk.com with details of your claim. It is recommended that customers who have made prepayments by credit or debit card should also lodge a chargeback claim directly with their card provider.
